Oxford University To Repatriate 39 Naga Ancestral Human Remains Taken During

The University of Oxford has agreed to repatriate 39 ancestral human remains belonging to the Naga people that were taken during the colonial era and held in its collections for decades. The remains are currently associated with the Pitt Rivers Museum, which houses the University of Oxford’s extensive collection of Naga artefacts. The museum has one of the world’s largest collections related to the Naga people, including around 8,000 objects and human remains, mainly skulls.
