Think your morning coffee makes you mentally sharper? Study suggests caffeine
Study suggests caffeine may not give your brain the boost you expect. 51 physically active males who were moderate or somewhat inexperienced frequent caffeine drinkers were the subjects of the study. Caffeine did not significantly improve the cognitive measures, mood or reactive agility compared with the placebo and no-pill conditions. A 200 mg dose of caffeine was linked to worse spatial working-memory performance and did not enhance verbal working memory.
