Old, Weak Structure, Waterlogged Basement: Questions Mount After Satya Niketan
A five-storey building in Delhi’s Satya Niketan collapsed on Sunday afternoon (September 6), leaving three people dead and several others feared trapped under the debris. The building, known as ‘Hostel Daze’, was being used as a paying guest accommodation by students, many of whom study at Delhi University’s South Campus. Rescue teams from the NDRF, Delhi Fire Service, police and other agencies are working at the site to find those still trapped.
