WATCH: Video Captures Moment US Blasts 5 Iranian Oil Tankers in Gulf
The US military says it has destroyed five Iranian oil tankers in retaliation for attempted Iranian strikes on US Navy warships, in the latest escalation of fighting around the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. US Central Command (Centcom) said on Tuesday that four crude oil tankers linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were destroyed in the Gulf of Oman, while another was targeted near Kharg Island.
