TSA Major Airport Security Change: Non-Ticketed Visitors Can Now Access Gates
More than 20 years after the September 11 attacks led to tight restrictions on airport access, a new pilot program is bringing back a piece of the old normal, letting some people without a plane ticket walk through security to see off or greet loved ones at the gate. The TSA has launched a pilot program called Gateside, allowing approved non-ticketed visitors to pass through security and reach the gate at 13 US airports.
