Nagercoil Corporation steps up e-waste collection efforts
Nagercoil Corporation is conducting a collection drive across all schools and colleges in all 52 wards of the city. More than two tonnes of e-waste materials were collected from across the Corporation limits last week. The drive aims to create awareness of safe handling, segregation, collection and scientific disposal of electronic waste among the younger generation. Once the collected material reaches a certain volume, the Corporation will invite tenders from traders for its sale.
