Ahead Of Avengers Doomsday, X-Men 97 Producer Confirms Key Character Is Dead
The X-Men are coming again to Avengers: Doomsday this December. Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Beast and Gambit will all have key roles in the Marvel sequel directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. However, in the animated TV series, X-Men '97 , one of these characters was killed off in Season 2. Producer Eric Lewald confirmed that Nightcrawler will not be returning for the eagerly awaited Season 3 in 2027.
