A 120-year-old taxidermy bear is helping scientists solve modern wildlife
Boris, the taxidermy brown bear, arrived at the Museum of Chelmsford in 1932. It was left to the museum by a local game hunter as part of a large collection. Now a researcher is examining Boris's preserved hair for clues to wildlife crime. The work could eventually help investigators identify animal remains or hair without always having to rely on expensive DNA testing.
