Immediate Sealing of Unauthorised Fifth Floors, Structural Audit Ordered After
Day after Satya Niketan PG building collapse in Delhi in which 7 people including five students and two labourers were killed, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday ordered immediate sealing of unauthorised fifth floors in the national capital. The Chief Minister said that the government has ordered the immediate sealing of buildings with unauthorised fifth floors in the city as municipal officials step up efforts to conduct fresh surveys to identify "dangerous" and "dilapidated" buildings.
