If Not Capable, We Will...': SC Rejects Aravalli Expert Panel's Extension Plea
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday (September 7) rejected the High-Powered Committee’s request for a six-month extension, until February 28 next year to submit its report on the definition and protection of the Aravalli Hills. A bench head by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant remarked that the Committee has sought the extension “with the first stroke of the pen” and appeared to be waiting for his retirement.
