Amritsar Airport Drone Scare: 7 Flights Diverted After Suspected Drone Activity
Flight operations at Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport in Amritsar were suspended for around 90 minutes on Sunday night after suspected drones were spotted near the airport, forcing seven incoming flights to be diverted to Delhi and Chandigarh. The alert was received by Air Traffic Control (ATC) from the Indian Air Force (IAF) at around 9.45 pm, following reports of drone activity across the airport's operational area.
